Leisure meets Performance – Triathlon Camp with Steinberg Coaching & VolleLotte Coaching
Two camps – one goal: train with Steffi, Gerry & Melanie in the Salzkammergut and enjoy a week full of sport, community, and nature.
From May 25 to 31, 2026, Steffi, Melanie, and Gerry invite you to the “Leisure meets Performance Triathlon Camp” at Hotel Jakob in Fuschl am See. Three experienced coaches will provide a varied program that excites both ambitious athletes and those who prefer a more relaxed approach:
The concept: two camps in one.
The Performance Group (led by Steffi & Melanie) focuses on triathlon-specific training, technique, brick and transition sessions, bike workouts with an emphasis on strength endurance and speed, open-water training, bike fitting, and an introduction to performance diagnostics.
The Leisure Group (led by Gerry) offers relaxed bike rides with coffee stops, running drills, social runs, swim sessions with a technique focus, and plenty of fun and group spirit.
All participants swim together, join in common mobility and recovery sessions, and come together for lectures, Q&A sessions, and cozy dinners. Switching between groups is possible at any time, so everyone can find their personal balance between performance and enjoyment.
The coaches:
Steffi Steinberg – Ultraman World Champion, multiple Ironman Hawaii finisher, and experienced triathlon coach with expertise in performance diagnostics & nutrition coaching.
Melanie Baumann – former professional triathlete, Mental Coach (MSc.), Trisutto-certified coach with additional skills in sports massage and bike fitting.
Gerry Steinberg – Ironman U-Coach, experienced long-distance athlete, and specialist for training with enjoyment and group experience.

In your free time, the Salzkammergut region around Hotel Jakob offers a wide range of leisure activities – with its rolling hills, crystal-clear lakes, rich culture, and shopping opportunities (e.g., in nearby Salzburg).
Extra nights before and after the camp are possible on request.

Leisure: Hilly bike ride (approx. 2.5h) with coffee stop

Wednesday, May 27
07:30 – Performance: Run 45 min with tempo changes
Leisure: Optional short run (20–30 min) or sleep in
08:30 – Breakfast
10:00 – Performance: Bike ride with sprint focus (1.5h)
Leisure: Easy bike ride (1.5–2h)
15:00 – Après Bike Snack
17:00 – Open water swim (all groups, race-specific focus) + optional mobility
19:00 – Dinner together + lecture/Q&A

08:00 – Performance: Swim session (power & speed)
Leisure: Swim session (technique)
09:30 – Breakfast
10:30 – Performance: Long bike ride (4–5h, endurance & rhythm)
Leisure: Bike ride (2–3h)

17:00 – Optional special program (e.g. performance diagnostics)

08:00 – Performance: Swim session (race & endurance focus)
Leisure: Swim session (endurance)

11:00 – Performance: Brick session – 3x bike/run (8 km + 2 km)
Leisure: Brick session – 3x bike/run (5 km + 1 km)

17:00 – Performance: Recovery ride (1h)

Saturday, May 30
